I never realized just how much of a homebody I’d become as a married woman. My ex, while a nice guy for most of our marriage, didn’t enjoy the company of others. I do.

Tonight, Midalah, Roo and I went out with one of my coworkers and his partner. We had a geat time. We ate Vietnamese food, had our accents laughed at (mine’s horrible!), I drank a durian shake and we enjoyed a nice meal together.

Tomorrow night, Midalah and I are going to find a Halloween party in the city while Roo goes to one with her friends. Last weekend, she and I met another friend from an online forum we belong to and had an awesome dinner at a local restaurant.

I don’t think I’ve ever connected so much with people locally. It’s nice! It’s something I really haven’t done before. I’m enjoying it.

Getting easier and email

It’s getting a little easier to call him “my ex” instead of “my husband” – it’s a big change and harder than one would think. Some days I miss him terribly. Not who he is now, but who he was. I realize that now. I’m missing someone who was a man, and an honorable and caring man, at that. Not the person he’s become.

It looks like I need to create an entirely new blog and pay for new hosting, etc. Bummer, that.

I think I should have a new blog by next week. I’m trying to come up with a decent name – and I’ll work with wordpress, so hopefully I won’t lose the money I’ve paid for this domain

Still not sure how to let people I don’t know personally know about the change. I may set up an email just for people to send something to me so I can send them that information.

One of my first posts may be about how useful tracking is and how to read email headers so one isn’t fooled into thinking things are from another party. And how to locate the proper authorities to report things to., once all of the proof has been gathered.

If nothing else, this has been a learning experience. I feel terribly for those who have to deal with it with someone locally. Dealing with this from overseas has been difficult enough!

Ex told her that I will be pursuing legal action if she continued to stalk me. So far, I have seen no strong proof of her continuing to follow me. There is a potential issue that I am following up on, just in case, though.

I do wish he was the man I used to know. Someone who didn’t let someone else tell him what to do. That’s the man I had fallen in love with.

Maybe I will rent Fatal Attraction, after all.

So, popped into Lowe’s to buy some plumber’s putty and tape and a new hose. Ended up having to avoid an older man, scented with whiskey, who thought it was adorable to see a younger woman in business wear perusing the selections.

It’s funny what goes through your mind at that time. At least the, “No, you don’t have to gut this man” kicked in before I had a chance to step away from wandering hands.

Who lets these people loose and please, please, PLEASE – tell me this isn’t indicative of what to expect from the available male population?

Like many, I keep a tracker on my websites so I can see where traffic comes from and goes to. Standard stuff. However, I don’t often check it unless I have a project in the works.

Out of curiosity, though, I checked my sites the other day and was unpleasantly surprised at where certain traffic is coming from. This blog may go away and be replaced by another in the very near future. Please comment here if you would like to be given the new URL when that change goes through.

Watching Bridezillas tonight. Amazed at how many psychopathic women there are in this world. I shouldn’t be, though!

So, it’s been a week. I told a friend this morning – I still sorta *feel* married, like I’d be cheating if I went on a date (not that there are any planned in the near future). Why is that? Is that even normal?

After this past year, that’s the last thing I should worry about!
